"PICCOLO HOTEL" |
|
 The
repute of Moneglia deservedly shows even in its name,
the Romans having already cherished this jewel embedded
in one of the most pleasant sandy bays of the whole
Ligurian arch. Strategically located between the
Tigullio and the Cinque Terre, it is an easy reach by
train (the Riviera di Levante being traversed by a
delightful seaside railway track), car and public
transport. An exceptionally mild climate 12 months a
year makes Moneglia a destination for all seasons.
The village possesses a bright, touching beauty: a
kaleidoscope of palms, carruggi, castles, fishermen
boats along the shore, hills covered by olive groves,
pastel houses facing the beach, silent trails and a sea
that has been rewarded (again) the international
F.E.E.E. Blue Flag.
Right in the centre of the village, the “Piccolo Hotel”
stands a stone’s throw from the beach and the railway
station. The hotel, lovingly run for 40 years by
Famiglia Zanetti and open from March to October,
provides garage and parking facilities (200 mts.) as
well as access for disabled people. Its 38 bedrooms (2,
3 and 4 beds) display air conditioning, hair dryer,
minibar, satellite tv and safe. The comfort typology
identifies the classic, welcoming - and profitable
priced – bedroom; the superior is the ideal choice for
relaxing “two of a kind” stays; the executive offers an
even richer standard of equipment; the royal represents
the top offer of the “Piccolo Hotel”, meant for guests
who could do with some serious pampering (royal beds,
liquid crystal display tv, bathrobe, no charge for room
breakfast and an elegant courtesy set).
Pleasantness is the trademark of the whole place,
including reading room, solarium, indoor heated swimming
pool (complete with water fall and hydromassage), and –
from 2008 - a new sauna.
The restaurant (air conditioned), open to hotel guests
as well as to external clients, specializes in the
cuisine du terroir (the Mediterranean diet is a
blockbuster of healthiness): a colourful vegetable
buffet, the hors d’oeuvre, homemade pasta, pesto.
Delicate pansoti, fish, scenting ripieni. The restaurant
room is the ideal location for thematic or gala dinners,
parties and business lunches.
The “Piccolo Hotel” provides plenty of reasons for
relaxing seaside stays. Its warm welcome is a pleasure
for any king of guest: family with children (the small
protagonists of tailored services), sports fans (from
divers to bikers) and small groups who wish to explore
this enchanting – and intimate – corner of Liguria.
English, French and German are spoken at the reception.
The most relevant credit cards are accepted.
Last but not least, respect for the environment is
witnessed also by the solar panels standing on the
hotel’s roof. |
